With the changing social scenario and an increasing tendency towards Westernization, there has been a thorough revamping as far as the theme, content, and styling of Hindi films are concerned. Growing dependence on information technology, which has paved the way for an easy global interaction indirectly accounts for this revamping. As part of this revamping, there has been a wide amalgam in culture, tradition and behavior.

The saga of wearing bikinis which started in the early seventies is now undergoing revealing rectifications at the hands of modern B town babes.

Actress making it in swim suits has become an occasional feature of many a B town films. Their well maintained physique, poise and grace are frequently cashed in by directors and script writers so that maximum mileage can be made. However, there is a lurking danger in such oft repeated displays. A time may come when the audience will get bored with the ongoing phenomenon. Actresses may run the risk of getting typed as bikini clad ones in case they resort to it frequently. Therefore it is imperative that wise variations are brought about in style and costume so as not to get typed cast. Incidentally, most of the above mentioned ones have wisely gone in for variation in the choice of costume and roles. Even the directors and script writers should go in for a wide variation so that a wide range of clothing can be included Speaking from the point of view of our culture, tradition and value system such bikini clad exhibition may go against the taste of certain conservative sections of the society. However Indian culture which teaches us to be broad and adopt a tolerant view has stopped people from ugly show of fanaticism.
