Saurabhee is first female Indian Idol winner
MUMBAI, March 1: Twenty-three-year-old singing sensation Saurabhee Debbarma of Agartala became the first female to win the Indian Idol in the finals today. With this win, Saurabhee will get a contract of Rs 1 crore with Sony Music. While Kapil Thapa of Dheradun occupied the second spot, Torsha Sarkar of Bengal came third. Tripura and other States of the Northeast have been celebrating with Saurabhee bringing laurels to the region. (Agencies)
