After having a milkshake named after her, Mallika Sherawat has now been given a special Arts Awards in the US.
America, it seems, loves Mallika more than we Indians do. Not for nothing has the sexbomb been invited to wine-tasting luncheons and has been attending conferences at the LA convention centre to promote her upcoming film Hisss directed by Jennifer Lynch.
Just recently, the busty bombshell had a milkshake (of all the beverages in the world) named after her at ‘Millions of Milkshakes’ in west Hollywood. Doubtlessly it’s a rare honour that puts Mallika in the league of several other hotties the world over, but hey, what about giving Mallika an award for her “influence on Indian diaspora”?
Sounds improbable? But that’s what happened last weekend when the curvy belle was given a prestigious Arts Awards for her “unparalleled contributions to and influence on the Indian diaspora”. And it was none other than the Mayor of Jersey City who reportedly gave the award to Mallika.
We fear that given the adulation that’s being showered on her, Mallika, like Freida Pinto , might shift her base to the US. But the swine flu may help change her mind.
