The Last Quarter is Set to Sizzle

The scene at the box office warms as the year slips into its last quarter. A lot of actors like Aamir Khan revel in ending the year with a blast. He did that with 'Taare Zameen Par' the year before last, with 'Ghajini' last year, and will hope to repeat the same with '3 Idiots' this December 25.

While it is still too early to write post mortems on the year that went by, one fact is for sure, actor Salman Khan, who started the year quite disastrously with 'Yuvvraaj' and 'God Tussi Great Ho' before that, has managed to regain some lost ground with Boney Kapoor's 'Wanted', which has succeeded in making him feel wanted once again. It gets better than this as he has two more releases lined up for next month, Prem Soni's 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna' with Kareena Kapoor and Vipul Shah's 'London Dreams'. Both films are scheduled for release in October. As for 'London Dreams', it will prove to be a litmus test for its heroine Asin, as this will be her first release after 'Ghajini'. Actor Ajay Devgan too has two films lined up for October. One of them is his home production, 'All The Best' and of course 'London Dreams'. There is likely to be one clash at the box office which Amitabh Bachchan may not be too happy with. It seems that both his movies, 'Teen Patti' and 'Paa' may be releasing on the same date, December 4. One actor who has managed to ensure that he will be the talk of the town for the next couple of months is Ranbir Kapoor. The young actor has a string of releases lined up right into the New Year. It all begins with Ayaan Mukherjee's 'Wake Up Sid' followed by Raj Kumar Santoshi's 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani', Shimit Amin's 'Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year' and Prakash Jha's 'Rajniti'. We may have arrived at the fag end of the year, but there sure seems to be a lot of action which is yet to arrive.
