Sunil Shetty's latest release, DADDY COOL, may have failed to tickle the funny bones of the audience, but he is sure that the next few films under his banner, Popcorn Entertainment, will surely click at the ticket window. And its not Priyan's next that he is talking about!

In an effort to make meaningful and serious films, with an eye on the multiplex thronging crowd, who expect and want something 'hatke' from their films, Sunil is in the process of producing one such film. It's director Sanjay Jha's MUMBAI CHAKACHAK. The film stars the thinking man's hero, the enigmatic Rahul Bose, along with Ayesha Dharker (of THE TERRORIST fame), Mandira Bedi, Vinay Pathak, Cyrus Brocha and Suresh Menon. According to Sunil, even though the film is not a commercial one, it has tremendous drama, emotions and a strong message. It deals with the love story between a girl from Bihar and a boy from Maharashtra and is very topical in today's turbulent times.

Certainly an interesting plot, we saw one such (though diametrically opposite) plot in KAMINEY, where we had a Marathi girl falling in love with a boy from Uttar Pradesh. Let's see if MUMBAI CHAKACHAK generates the same amount of curiosity and eyeballs as KAMINEY.
