Hrithik, Katrina played holi with ripe tomato

During the famous Tomatina festival in Spain, the team of Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ had a great time. Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif splashed ripe tomato at each other. The film has a scene where the leads actors of the movie Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol taking part in this fun festival. It’s like playing holi in India.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani said: "To recreate the Tomatina festival and make it look authentic, we had to call for some 16 tonnes of tomatoes from Portugal as the tomatoes in Spain were not ripe." For the scene, 24 tonnes of tomato puree was used.

"Tomatina in Spain is a festival closest to our Holi...they play with tomatoes and the world turns red for the day. The energy is infectious and the scene is a visual treat, " Zoya Akhtar, the film's director, said in a statement.

"We had a blast shooting this sequence but it was not all rosy. It was a logistical nightmare for the producer...We shot in the same location where the festival actually takes place and we had to shut the town down, " she said.

"The residents of Bunyol were extremely sweet and in turn they celebrated Tomatina twice last year...once for Spain and once for India, " she added.

The moment can be enjoyed once the film hit the theatres worldwide on June 24.

Hrithik and Suzanne’s third baby!

Suzanne Roshan is on cloud nine as she launched her new showroom named ‘Charcoal Project’. She is very excited about the new showroom and considered it their third baby. She has two lovely sons but the new project that she has opened up is not less than her baby.

Highly excited Suzanne quipped about' The Charcoal Project', "It's more than furniture. It's the concept we're trying to sell. This is our third baby."

Explaining the idea behind the unusual name, Sussanne said, "I chose this name because when you burn charcoal, it gives light. It gives out heat. To me when I take on a project, or a site, I want to give it heat, I want to give it life and create it into the ' The Charcoal Project'." To which Hrithik earnestly quipped, "She can make it glow."

Bollywood A-listers came to see and appreciate Suzanne’s work. Shilpa Shetty arrived with her businessman husband Raj Kundra. Shahrukh Khan’s absence was filled by his wife Gauri. She stayed till the end. Aamir Khan with his new get-up sans Kiran were spotted. Newly weds Neelam Kothari and Sameer Soni made their appearance. Karan Johar applauded Suzanne's artistic mind.

Hrithik seeks sister-in-law's forgiveness on birthday

New Delhi, Jan 10 (IANS) Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan believes in simple joys. So, for his 37th birthday Monday, all that the actor wanted was forgiveness from his sister-in-law Farah Khan Ali, who was upset with him over an issue.

"Hello tweeple. I have upset d one person responsible 4 introducing me 2 dis twitterworld my beautiful FarahKhanAli who I love very much. u think u guys cld help her forgive me, since I'm human n since its my b'day tom? Love u all soo much! (sic)" Hrithik posted on his Twitter page Sunday.

Farah is the eldest sister of Hrithik's wife Sussanne.

Hrithik's public apology on the micro-blogging site melted Farah's heart, after which she posted: "OMG. Duggu did u have to do this on twitter. U know I love u unconditionally and the people u love the most sometimes hurt u too. Love u and Suss and will see u tom. Happy Birthday my brother. May u both live a long and happy life. (sic)"

She followed up the post with a warm birthday wish for the actor.

"Happy B'day to a great soul, pure & giving. Love u Duggu. May u never experience a moment of sadness or a bad health. Love always."

Actors like Bipasha Basu and Arjun Rampal wished Hrithik on Twitter as well.

"Happy happy birthday Rockstar, fly high always, love you," posted Arjun.

Hrithik to unveil his statue at Madame Tussauds Friday

Mumbai, Jan 10 (IANS) Hrithik Roshan, who turned 37 Monday, will become the fifth Bollywood celebrity to have his wax figure at the prestigious Madame Tussauds when he unveils it Friday.

"I never thought in my wildest of dreams that there will be a time in my life when I'll be unveiling my own statue at the Madame Tussauds. I remember once I've stood there in the line for three hours when I was a 12-year-old to see the museum," Hrithik told reporters here.

Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Bachchan, Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan have already secured their place in the London museum.

"It's just going to be symbolic of my journey. It's going to be something that will motivate me when I'm tired. I'll think of this statue and it will make be keep going and giving my best. It makes me feel great and will help me fight my exhaustion," he added.

Hrithik made his debut in 2000 with the leading role in "Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai" and became an overnight sensation. Later he gave hits like "Dhoom 2", "Koi... Mil Gaya" and "Krrish".

Mumbai, Jan 10 (IANS) Bollywood heart-throb Hrithik Roshan for the first time celebrated his birthday Monday with media by cutting a cake, talking about his future projects and revealing his happiness over his filmmaker father's decision to make a sequel to "Krrish".

"I'm very happy that papa (Rakesh Roshan) has finally taken the mantle and said that he will make ‘Krrish' because it was my dream to make another ‘Krrish'...I was wishing that one day he gets up and thinks about the film and I'm happy that has happened now," said the actor, who has turned 37.

The actor also revealed that actress Priyanka Chopra will be the female lead in the film and it is slated to hit screens later this year.

Released in 2006, "Krrish" is a Indian superhero science fiction that carried forward the story of "Koi... Mil Gaya" about developmentally challenged Rohit (Hrithik) and his ability to connect with aliens through his late father's special computer.

In "Krrish", Hrithik plays Krishna, son of Rohit, who has superhuman abilities. Both the films were directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan.

The actor, whose much hyped "Kites" bit the dust at the box office, will be seen in two more films - "Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara" and "Agneepath" remake - this year.

"I'm very excited about all the three films because all are challenging roles. One is over and I'll be starting ‘Agneepath' now and then of course ‘Krrish'," said the actor who was casually dressed in a white T-shirt and blue jeans and teamed it up with a black cap for the media meet.

Taking about his birthday, the actor said that age is just a state of mind.

"Number and years are all man made terms in our minds. We should not go by them. You're as young as you're heart tells you. I still feel as I felt when I was 18. Although my knees heart a bit more than they used to," said Hrithik.

The actor started his day with a pooja at home, then spent time with his family, followed by a telephonic session with fans, meeting with media and it will end with a party at his place.
