Shahid, Priyanka re-unite at SRK’s bash

Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra recently split-up but the duo seems very much together and looks like they do not carry ill-feeling between them. They exchanged pleasantries, chatted, talked about movies at Shahrukh Khan’s post-holi bash held at Mannat.

They look so friendly that hardly one would believe they have broken up. Their action shows that all is well between them.

A source revealed, "They came separately in different cars. Inside Mannat, however, it didn`t seem like there was any tension between the two. Shahid was in a good mood. He mingled with everyone. PC, too, was cheerful and was stuck to Shah Rukh`s side for most of the evening."

Host Shah Rukh didn’t have to play peacemaker between the two. "PC and Shasha got talking and exchanging notes about each other`s films. She updated him about her recent Malaysia schedule for ‘Don 2’. The last time they were at a party was for Karan` Johar`s ‘My Name Is Khan’ celebratory bash. They were still seeing each other at the time."

Both are smart enough, due to personal reasons they does not want to damage their professional life. The duo will soon start shooting for Kunal Kohli’s film.

Priyanka Chopra was scattered with the I-T raids at her residence and offices recently. She was almost sprinkled and was in the dark as how to deal with the situation. Lending her emotional support was her boyfriend and actor Shahid Kapoor. Touched by his support, Priyanka Chopra kissed Shahid Kapoor in presence of her mother Madhu Chopra.

No sooner Shahid Kapoor was informed that I-T officials raid Priyanka’s house and office, he rushed to her help. Priyanka showed her gratitude to Shahid by hugging and kissing her beau.

I-T department blamed Priyanka and Katrina Kaif of duping Rs 10 crore unclaimed earnings.

Well, the raids has exposed their personal affairs along with financial. Shahid was spotted at Piggy Chops house and revealed that Kat spend the night at Ranbir’s residence.

Method acting comes to the fore yet again with Pankaj Kapoor's much talked-about Mausam. Pankaj, always known to work hard preparing for his characters, expects nothing less from his son Shahid Kapoor.

He has just spent three rejuvenating days in Goa with his best friend Sriram. "My best buddy Sriram and I just took off to chill. Needed to relax before I start my Dad's film." For his role as the air force pilot in Mausam Shahid is expected to leave later this month either for Begumpet on the outskirts of Hyderabad or at the air base in Gwalior to be trained to fly planes.

Begumpet boasts of a private airport closed to public airlines and used for chartered and private aircraft. It's reliably learnt that contrary to earlier reports Shahid's preparation would now actually entail the learning of how to fly a fighter plane.

Says a source, "Earlier Shahid had hoped only to look convincing an air force pilot. But now he will be learning the behavior and body language of his character from actual fighter planes. He would also be learning the rudiments of how to fly planes so that he would look convincing when he gets inside the plane for the camera."

Though the actual dates are still awaited from the relevant authorities it is reliably learnt that Shahid's training would stretch over ten days in April.

Shahid confirms that he would be going for the air force training. "But I don't know when as yet. We still have to work out the details." he adds.

Shahid and Priyanka could not make it as joint anchor for TV

Shahid Kapoor has maintained his ‘single and ready to mingle’ status post his breakup with Kareena Kapoor who, on the other hand, instantly fell into Saif Ali Khan’s arms. Meanwhile, Shahid had been linked up with his ‘Kaminey’ co-star Priyanka Chopra and rumors of the two seeing each other kept the gossip columns going red for a long time.

The ‘Kaminey’ jodi of Shahid and Priyanka had almost been finalized as the anchor for ‘Zara Nach Ke Dikha’, a forthcoming dance reality show on television, but unfortunately it did not work out because Priyanka went on to host the third season of ‘Fear Factor’ and Shahid was out of dates as he would be shooting abroad for his father’s film during those dates.

Well, there is always a next time and we still hope to see the jodi together once again!

Shahid, Priyanka bag Teacher's Achievement awards

Mumbai, Nov 8 (IANS) Actors Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor bagged the Teacher's Achievement Awards while noted lyricist Gulzar was bestowed the lifetime achievement honour at a function here.

Priyanka, who bagged the award in the entertainment category at an event Saturday night, dedicated the award to her mother.

"I am thankful to the jury. Whenever I get a prize, I think this would not have been possible without the constant support of my parents," she said.

Shahid was conferred the Teacher's People Magazine Achiever award.

"I feel special. It's really a big achievement when such an eminent set of jury has decided to give me the award," Shahid told IANS.

Filmmaker-poet Gulzar was modest when given the Lifetime Achievement of the Year award.

"I don't know what I have done so special. It's you, the people, (who) make me realise that I have made some contribution to the Indian film industry. I am thankful for that," he said.

Leading advertising photographer Iqbal K. Mohammad got the award in the communication-photography category and Saina Nehwal, the first Indian to win World Junior Badminton Championship was given the achievement award in sports.

"We are hopeful that each edition of the Teacher's Achievement Awards shall inspire and encourage people from all walks of life to strive for accomplishment, that not just add to individual glory but also propel societal growth and well-being," said Matt Shattock, president and CEO, Beam Global Spirit & Wine Inc.
